    I like the parchment background and the layout is easy to use. To capture the feel of things I would change the font to a font that looks like handwriting. It will make the parchment seem more alive. I dont envy all the work moving them. I have been thinking of doing the same with my campaign before I get too entrenched.

    Ok, so thanks Stephen... something I have considered. Would like to know which all of you prefer-
    "This, lets call it 1":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/a-god-rebuilt/adventure-log/how-rell-conquered
    "This, lets call it 2":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/a-god-rebuilt/adventure-log/pack-leader
    or another font? I am not in favor of hard to read, as most cursive is, but some style I think is a good idea.

    Is the difference the bold straight font headers/headings or the parchment background?

    If the diff is the parchment I prefer the yellow-shift one just because it appears seamless from that sample. Perhaps a brown shift parchment that was seamless would be a better comparison?

    Looking for opinions on the script choices, not the parchment, but thanks for the parchment critique- changed both!

    On my screen they both look exactly the same. I took a screenshot and did a comparison using the letter A and my art software and they're exactly the same. I'm guessing you're on a mac?

    Based on the CSS font-family I'm seeing in the source, I'm guessing one is Palatino italic and the other is supposed to be New York italic, but my system doesn't have New York (a standard Mac font?)

    Maybe this:

    1 (How rell conquered) set the CSS to = font-family:'palatino','palatino linotype',serif;
    2 (pack leader) set the CSS to = font-family:'New York','MS Serif',serif;

    EDIT: If you cut and paste fix the single quotes, this forum jacks with the character displayed versus what needs to be used in the code.

    Thanks everyone for all the feedback, both here and pms!! I really appreciate it!! So, taking folks advice, I have done the following-
    New top line banner, or navigation menu, stolen and tweaked from the usual sources- Chainsaw, Arsheesh & Duskreign, throughout the site.

    New banner image, thanks to "Morrinn":http://www.obsidianportal.com/profile/Morrinn What a nice guy!!

    "Items":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/a-god-rebuilt/wikis/items moved onto the wiki from the items tab, integrated with all the tags.

    "Performers":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/a-god-rebuilt/wikis/performers moved onto the wiki from the characters tab, integrated with all the tags.

    "Campaigns":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/a-god-rebuilt/wikis/campaigns moved onto the wiki from the adventure log tab. Still in process integrating with tags, should be done today.

    Typeface changes, thanks to Wolfhound pointing out that I was being Mac centric, throughout. Approximately 1/2 done.

    So, with all that, a word of warning- start your site with a plan!! I started mine without one, and these edits alone have touched 20 Items, 66 visible characters (and untold gm only characters, 45 adventure logs, 16 main pages, and approximately 100 other wiki pages. The worst part is that is each edit, so over 200 pages 5 different times equals at least 1000 edits!!! My fingers may fall off.

    As always, looking for feedback!

    Agreed, planing out how your campaign wiki before starting major work is a pretty good idea. You'll want a good idea of how to navigate the site, and having to reconstruct the skeletal structure of the site after you've pieced together most of the meat is a real pain.

    Having a nav-bar solves many of these problems, but I'd also advise people to keep the wiki tight, dont put up endless 'corridors' of pages, if you will.
    I feel like one should always use the apple method of click counting.
    Try and make it so that you can get from the main page of your wiki to any page in as few clicks as possible.

    So, I have a little story to tell about why I love OP so much- it is the people. Not just the ones that have seem to touch each of us, like Arsheesh, Duskreign, or Chainsaw, but some new ones as well. As I have been changing my site, I have gotten some great suggestions- most of the work (see above) has come through the forums and pms. So I had 2 things left that really bugged me- my banner and the typeface. The type was solved by wolfhound, not only responding to the forum, but sending me a pm when I messed it up- BEFORE I HAD FINISHED THE WHOLE SITE! My fingers owe you a huge debt, Wolfhound. The other, well, this is part of the pm I got:
    The layout is also very nice, but I really think you need a new campaign banner. The stretched picture isn't doing it.
    Now, because I am a super nice person (Read: I'm bored out of my skull) I took it upon myself to craft you a substitute.
    If you like it, feel free to grab it
    Out of the BLUE! Thanks Morrinn, you are a great example of why OP is the greatest!!

    Wow I'm shocked how much of a difference that made, too. It just gave it a cleaner, more presentable feel. That's a friggin' real-world example of how one graphic can change yo' shiz! Lol.

    It keeps getting better KVP, awesome job.

    Introducing a coherent timeline into a campaign is something I've always wanted (but been unable) to do properly. Consider me envious, good job.
    Here's some feedback;

    I have a couple of monitors with different resolution I use when browsing, and I noticed that on the 800x600 resolution your campaign layout gets severely jumbled. The nav bar on the left is obscured and the anks on the timeline go over the menu bar on the right. It's not a huge deal since most people browse on higher resolutions, but maybe it warrants a notice on the front page how the campaign is best viewed on higher resolution.

    Secondly, are you using tables on that page? If not, you should, and if yes, maybe change the number of columns to 4. It aught to even out a lot better with proper aligning.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks Morrinn, made some adjustments, should be improved.
    Tables made things worse, using a modified Duskreign timeline.
