Hi everyone one of my players is moving to another city for a while and I want to keep my game running for while.
Some of the guys expressed an instant dislike to running it via skype.
So I thought of running it normally with the guys round mine and the one in another city via mic and speaker to the whole group.
So question is anyone got any Idea where I can get a decent Microphone that could pick up the whole room for my player who has moved?
Talking about and average bedroom size with 3 - 4 people needing to be picked up.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I'll update once I know more too.
Also: RPing with one person far away always reminds me of "Full Frontal Nerdity":http://nodwick.humor.gamespy.com/ffn/index.php , which is awesome
1 the mic requires a mic input with "phantom power" this can be solved with a usb2/firewire M-audio fast track pc suitar/mic recording interface.

as you see they are pricey for simply gaming. $119 is not cheap for wanting to play a game. the roads nt1a mic is also not cheap at around $250.
your other solution is a $30-$50 "condenser" mic from radio shack with 1/4" jack. they are not as good as a roads but not bad for condenser mics. they will pick up the entire room.

I think its a bit of a long shot that that something like this will be adequately cover the whole room (and still be audible on the other end, anyway). another problem to consider is feedback from the speakers.
