i'm a med student who is brand new to this table gaming thing.

currently, i'm in the midst of developing a steampunk-inspired campaign using D&D rules (the VERY early development stage).

just bought myself a D&D DM guide. woo-hoo.

to be perfectly honest, i never saw myself enjoying table gaming, but when I learned about the unabridged customizability and creative input that can be had, i was all over it.

soon, however, i'm going to have to "pop the question" to my friends... yikes.

anyone want to share their experiences getting into this?
