Obsidian Portal Launch Feedback
November 2013
I actually find creating new pages and editing old ones to be easier than before, once the color scheme is ignored. It's much nicer to have the edit button at the _top_ than at the bottom, and you can create a new page from any location on the campa…

Sure. If you want it to affect every page that has that two-column layout, for example, just toss @font-family: Times;@ Into the CSS for that .two-columns class, like this: bc. .two-columns { column-count:2; -moz-column-count:2; /* Fire…

I'm not sure what you did, but I just selected the 'post as text' option:D Magnatude: If you're having problems with your campaign, ask in the Vanguard assistance forum. We can't help you if we don't know either the campaign that's having trouble…

New to posting on the forum; not new to OP
November 2013
Yeah, if the image embedding works properly. At the moment it takes on the order of 5-20 minutes to load for some campaigns, since it's loading every-single-image that you've ever uploaded. Blah. Something that really needs to be fixed. But ye…

Add bc. prior to the code block, like this: bc. Code goes here And here. And here. But not here!

Make it margin-left:20px;margin-right:20px; instead. As-is, you've got margins on top and bottom set at 20px, too.

You could never use [[Wiki Links]] to link to things with colons in them, even if the stub doesn't have it (and it doesn't - the colon is simply omitted from the stub). Instead, you have to use normal links "like this":http://link-goes-here.html.…

Vanguards as Co-GM

Sweet! That's something I wanted way back when (before Cernig promoted me to proper-GM of Edgerunners), but it's still good news.

Oh, bc. works too? I just used @ symbols, as that's the only way to make a code box mentioned in the textile markup reference.

Actual Banner Size?
November 2013
The banner shrinks to fit your screen; 1000x220 is the correct size if your screen is suitably big (it doesn't get larger than that unless you alter the default campaign width).

Is that player the GM? If so, that's the issue - for some reasons GMs that own a PC have their PC not show up.

It's really easy to give your page a two-column layout if you're using a modern browser. If you're ascendant, just add this to your CSS: @.two-columns { column-count:2; -moz-column-count:2; /* Firefox */ -webkit-column-count:2; /* Safari an…

Paragraphs not showing up
November 2013
I see the issue; the textile parser ignores line breaks if you include a space at the beginning of every line of text. No, I have no idea why it does that. It's silly, but that's how it works. To fix it without using that hack, just remove …

I'm guessing it works like many forums and other places with log-ins - you can only be logged in on one device at a time, for security reasons.

Vanguards as Co-GM
November 2013
Yeah, that might be a problem. At the moment, the best fix is to have the GM of the campaign temporarily promote the vanguard to full GM status; the vanguard does his fixes, then re-promotes the other GM back.

Floating side bars casting shadows that block links
November 2013
edited November 2013
Through *just* CSS? No. We've never been able to do that through just CSS, and never will - CSS can't add new elements or alter links, as those are considered 'content'. You can use CSS to style a div, though. You do it via something like: @ …

Oh, woops, yeah. That should have been 'none', not '100%'. The issue with the other one is the curly-quotes; rewrite the "position:fixed" part using normal quotes. It should look like this: @[style*=“position:fixed”] { display:none; } }@ …

Pretty certain they've said natural editing *won't* be the only way to edit pages; we'll still have the option of editing the page code directly.

Yeah, a button might be neat - but your post made it sound like it was impossible to link to a map at all, which is what I was replying to. *shrug* Anyways, it's an idea; maybe they'll institute it when they roll out natural editing.

Why don't you try to make use of the vanguard program before deciding to give up? I have doubts that you'd be entitled to a refund if you don't even use the tools OP has provided to try and rectify your problems.
