I've frequently had 500/502 errors when trying to save edits to wiki pages that do not have images in them (all of my pages have html code in it, so I can't say that "only text" pages won't trigger 500/502 errors)

for me these errors have occurred for months and months (more than a year?) since I first reported them, and they have yet to be fixed so the answer to your question is "more than months and months" to "less than never, maybe"
