So I am simply venting my frustration with the Obsidian Portal map page for campaigns because it could be so awesome but it isn't and im wondering if any changes are being planned. What I would love to see is much bigger map sizes aloud (like 11mb) and any shape aloud (rectangle) and markers with location names that you can place on the map as the DM which link to a wiki page. This would make large sandbox campaigns incredibly easier to manage. Sharing thoughts as I try to organize a huge map of the ancient Mediterranean for my newly started Ancient Greek campaign.

I'm sure many of us wait patiently for such things. If I remember rightly, new markers IS part of the plan. Different shapes would be a good thing too. I can make do with the present limitations for now but I agree that MAPS could certainly do with improving - they are so important to any campaign.

The icons are nice but I would love to also just get the old 'stick pin' and color option back.

Would it be possible for visitors (i.e. not signed in) to see the map markers please? I'm using them as kind af a storytelling tool.

So where are we on this issue, as it was one of the goals for the Kickstarter?
