MORE Help with PICTURE LINK using new codes

Please can someone help me to establish a LINK using a PICTURE under the new codes.

Previously I would do this by using pic e.g.
!(media-item-align-center){height:150px}http://cdn.obsidianportal.com/assets/219009/MysteriaButton.png(Go to Main Wiki)!
And then encapsulating it within PIC to create IMAGE LINK

However, now IMAGE coding has changed to:
[[File:341286 | class=media-item-align-center | 250px | remember.png]] and this code does not work when encapsulated into the PIC method. I have tried various tweaks but cannot get it right.

Basically, I want to use image: [[File:341286 | class=media-item-align-center | 250px | remember.png]] as a link to WIKI PAGE URL: https://mysteria.obsidianportal.com/wikis/halls-of-the-honoured-dead

If someone can give me the code that works for the new style, I would be very appreciative.

    This works for me:

    [[File:341286 | class=media-item-align-center | 250px | remember.png]]

I tested it with a graphic from my site, and your link.
I notice you're using curly quotes in the a href of the example: ”URL” instead of "URL". I doubt that would do it, but it's worth checking.

Looks like the standard Textile format link works as well. Just put quotes around the image code, then a colon, then the URL. Something like this:

    @"[[File:341286 | class=media-item-align-center | 250px | remember.png]]":https://mysteria.obsidianportal.com/wikis/halls-of-the-honoured-dead@

No different result than the HTML, the Textile is just slightly more convenient (to me at least).

    Thanks ketherian

It IS working. I WAS aware of the "curly" quote issue and only left them in when I pasted onto this forum. I must have made another small error when I tried it out before, but as you see, it seems to work. I thank you for trying it out and letting me know.

    Thanks also Basileus

I tend to take note of what I like to do and then copy and paste the method. So when there are weird changes on OP it stumps me a bit.

So, my gut tells me this is something to do with the fact that there are now pipes both inside and outside of the image code (the new image code is awful, and I'm not sure what functionality we gained from it other than its in preparation for file upload functionality).

In any case, you can still use the old image code, you just have to pull the image URL from the image by right clicking on it and going to "Properties". Something like this in your case:

A bit of a hassle, so hopefully you don't have too many instances of this.

Hey, this has helped me out, but I've now run into another problem. I used this for linking to external pages and it works great. But, linking to my internal wiki pages I want to use the [[Page Name]] method for creating the wiki links. I don't plan to, but in case I change the slug I don't feel like manually updating each image link. But, I have tried everything i can think of and it doesn't work. I get an image and a text link every time.

    @[[File:350206 | class=media-item-align-center | header001.png]]:[[Prologue]]
    "[[File:350206 | class=media-item-align-center | header001.png]]":[[Prologue]]
    @

These didn't work for me. I can only assume I'm doing something wrong or I simply can't do what I want and have to use the full path.

Played with it a bit, but couldn't find anything promising. The "brackets as links" are application behavior (not part of HTML), and I don't think there is any way that the application supports that.

That's too bad. I'll just skip that idea for now, unless I come across something that works. Thanks for the try, though.
