Being spotlighted on Obsidian Portal's main Campaigns Page is an honor and a privilege only a few campaigns out many thousands on this site can lay claim to. It allows new users and casual users of Obsidian Portal to see what they can do for their own campaigns, what they can make, and how they can share their work with the universe.

Running a game is an art, and it is an artistic endeavor that is normally appreciable by very few, normally, just one's players. As a DM and site author who has had his own campaign under the spotlight, I can tell you that it is a wonderful feeling that these projects we work so hard on for ourselves and our players -- all that writing and planning and statting and mapmaking and more writing -- that huge time and creativity commitment we make for what usually amounts to a small audience of our dearest friends, can be recognized and displayed for the world at large. There really is no other gallery for what we do outside of OP.

Now that it is being updated again, if you have a minute, check out the front page. Take a look at the campaigns there. Browse a few pages in. Become a fan of campaigns you fancy, comment on the adventure journals. It means a lot to me (still does!), and I think it means as much to any of the winners of CotM, but especially the most recent winners who haven't had their fantastic creative babies on display until now. I know most of you reading this are busy with your own campaigns, your own babies, but trust me, 5 minutes on GammaWorld 2754 or X-Com is time you will be wowed and inspired. As a GM myself, inspiration is one thing I can never have enough of.

If you see a bit of coding flash or writing or plot curve or whatever catches your fancy, comment! Let us know! Ask questions. Interact with us here or on our sites. Most of us love to help, and talk about our work. I'd love to see this community grow and become closer and exchange ideas. That's why OP exists, and that's why a lot of us work on our sites and share them here. CotM isn't a competition, it's a commitment to the entire community.

From one GM to many others: we have a fantastic, unique resource here in OP, not just for ourselves and our own players. Time to abuse the hell out it.

I am new to all of this and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on unique rooms to a massive dungeon it could be fighting or non 

Note it is for a 3.5 campaign based on the d20 besm handbook 

And are met by a 'small dwarvish gnome' who calls himself Dungeon Master. Many bouts of the heroes breaking into song ensue, as does acts of heroism and bravery

It's already bad enough that there is no way to find new posts on the so-called "forum"... but now this?  

Is this a known bug and is there a work around for it?

I know thats hard to describe, but I'm afraid I dont have a before and after picture.

In addition a format change seems to have occured and now character sheets are displaying in wide format. I dont think thats a bad thing, but it started around the same time for me. 

Anyone having the same issues? got a fix or know when it will be fixed? (normally i wouldnt worry about it but last game we had a near TPK and so for this game a bunch of characters are new and need to be edited before game. GM is cool/forgiving but we'd still like our sheets updated before tomorrow.

I dont knonw where to click who to talk to or where to go.

To update your billing information, please log in to obsidianportal.com and go to your user profile. From there, click on the Membership tab and then click the Update your payment details link.

If you follow those steps, you won't find the membership link. Aside from going through a separate payment (which I have already done in this case), how would someone update their membership information?

I am trying to upload a pdf file of about 28 MB to the media library. The progress bar shows the upload normally. But when it is finished, there is an unspecified file symbol (see image below) in the media list, and you can't download the file or do anything with it. The storage used indicator doesn't change. Upon reloading the page, the file disappears from the list.

It says there is a file size limit of 128MB, is this perhaps incorrect? Or are there requirements for file name or format, that I don't know of?

Took a 3 year break, back to start a new campaign with a new group. I wanted to create another wiki, since I loved my original one on Obsidian Portal.

However, once I started working on setting up a new campaign page, I found that all of the editing commands are different now. The strange thing is, my old campaign can still be edited in the old style that I'm more familiar with.

Is there a way to revert back to that 'old style' of user interface so I don't have to relearn everything? I had lots of templates, tables, and other things. I'm not an experienced code or anything so I relied heavily on examples found in previous forums.

Completely new to all this, not sure what is possible using this site. (Is there a massive manual or set of intro videos to teach how to leverage what this site can do?)
