Hello!

I just started today and I'm in the process of getting my campaign information up on our page for the use of my players, and one thing that I haven't been able to figure out is sub topics. Honestly, I'm not sure if that's the right term for this, but basically, I'd like to have a series of links at the top of the page that, once clicked, will take you to the relevant section _on that same page._ Is that possible?

Also, is it possible to create headers and footers? For this particular section I'd like a navigation header and footer for switching between sections, but again, I have no idea how to do this! Sadly, my imagination seems to outreach my skills, heh.

Thank you so much for any assistance you can grant me in this. Have a wonderful day! :)

Hello, I'm very new to the site and Textile usage in general. I'm wondering if anyone can clue me in on the proper formatting for using tags? Whenever I do it, individual tags seem to come out as a group... for example, I want to tag an NPC as "male," "human," and "friendly," but the tag seems to come out as "male, human, friendly."

:(
If anyone could help with this I'd really appreciate it.

The wizard in my game has had an accident and is trapped inside his orb. for the time being, he has the stats of a Brain in a Jar from the Open Grave book. I mainly focus on story and roleplaying, so balance isn`t really that big of a deal to me, but do I need to alter anything if I want to keep it balanced?

In a previous game i ran that I never got to finish, one of the players was behind all the goings on and was supposed to team up with the monsters in the final climax. How would I balance it so there was a 50/50 chance who would win?

Can I take a monster straight out of the mm and let a player run it straight out of the book, ifthe player doesn`t want to pick and choose powers and all that goes in to characyer building and keep track ow all the powers and feat? Can I with non or only minor and simple alterations keep it balanced somehow?

Basicaly all I`m asking is what a monster is worth compared to a player in terms of game mechanics. Is a standard, elite or solo monster the same as a player character of the same level or some levels bellow or above?

So, quite fond of the map function, but there's a couple of things that bug me.

a) It has to be a square. Why? I take it there's a good reason for this, but it seems incredibly arbitrary.

b) The level of zoom - it almost might as well not be there. There's 3 levels, and 1 of them just ends up showing a grey box around your map. The actual effect of this is, that if you happen to type out/link something/place a table of some size in the "info" section of the map markers, it'll innevitably zoom out into a gray part of the map rather than keep it nice and centered.

In fact, the most grevious thing in my mind is probably the latter part. I just don't see a good reason to have a zoom function rather than a nice centered map function if only 2 of the levels of zoom actually do anything.

I seem to be stumped as to how you add more properties to a cell.

For instance: If I want to center a cell, I add '=' followed by a '.'

If I want to make a cell span 2 columns, I add '\2.' So far so good. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to both center it and make it span 2 columns. Is this even possible in Textile or do I need to learn HTML for that?

I want to say first and foremost, that it has been an incredible joy to run my campaign Star Wars: Dawn of Darkness with the help of the Obsidian Portal community. This past August my campaign celebrated it's third anniversary, which is by no means the longest running campaign on this site, but a mark I am none the less proud of, and I am very grateful for the kind words, support and help that has been offered over those three years into crafting an amazing adventure (especially you Arsheesh! I can't thank you enough my friend:) ).

Yet this campaign was never meant to go on forever, for one I always feared that it would meet the fate of so many games that went on well past their logical conclusions, lumbering forward as players lost interest, dropping out one by one or until collectively the game was simply abandoned. This was a fate I was determined to avoid for Dawn of Darkness. Also, from it's very inception this campaign had a beginning, a middle, and a definite end, and end which my player party is now approaching at light speed!

Thus beginning last month we have entered the fourth and final act of my campaign, where the story will be concluded either later this year or early next. I will be sad to see this campaign end, but at the same time I am so grateful that it has come this far. I don't really know what the future holds, or if I will ever run another game again down the road. I can tell you this however, being able to record the adventures of my player in session by session detail with statistics, back story's and every little element that makes a game come to life has made GM'ing a campaign more fun than I ever could have imagined.

So thank you Obsidian Portal and your incredible community, the campaign that Dawn of Darkness is today could not have been without your help. I hope to deliver a conclusion fitting of the amazing players, GM's and fans of roll-playing that are a part of this site.

I would like to give a shout out to my players for putting up with me for 49 sessions.

We formed the group about 6 months before we found the portal (Aug 2011), (so those early logs are a bit bare bones), loss some members to RL concerns, had new members come on and survived a TPC/TPK. In light of all of this they keep raging against Chaos.

congrats:

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I've been on here, but I wanted to shamelessly plus my new project! I've recently moved across the country, and I was looking for a project to work on. I've always liked writing, so I thought that I would do something with that. Enter my new blog: "Adventure Time Inc.":http://adventuretimeinc.blogspot.com/ This is something of an interactive story, but I explain it much better on there, so if you remember me from the old days and want to take a look, I'd love everyone's input!

Arcanum Syndicate and Scrying Eye Games have joined forces to bring the Pray for Dawn campaign module and Roads to Nowhere battle maps into one stunning PDF for only $10.00.

Pray for Dawn is 145 pages of a post apocalyptic, survival, horror campaign created for the Chaos 6010 A.D. role-playing game. Although of course this module can be used to fit any game setting. The players awaken on a pile of dead bodies with no memory of who one another is, or of the events that led them to this point. There is a storm coming and it will be night soon. Their only shelter from the acid rains and horrible plague hounds of the wastelands is a distant city on the horizon. When the players reach this city they come to find it abandoned, an entire ghost town. As the players attempt to find food, supplies, and answers to their strange loss of memory they realize the sun is setting and all hell is about to unfold.

The players must quickly become a crew no matter if some of the characters may be good or some evil. They must band together using their skills and abilities to keep each other alive. They realize that they must survive at least one night in this total nightmare together or become permanent residents of this forgotten city.

The module comes complete with gruesomely awesome artwork, a chapter that covers a memorable cast of characters, a chapter filled with new monsters and undead, a random encounter table for the streets of Necropolis, and tables for narcotics, weapons, and gear.

Scrying Eye Games creates excellent and detailed battle maps. They have done splendid work with their Roads to Nowhere addition where they have created post apocalyptic streets and buildings for your miniatures to do battle on. You can pick this bundle up at drivethrurpg and rpgnow.com. Please check out other products from Arcanum Syndicate as well at this link. http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/index....turers_id=3578

Good luck to you all in your struggles fellow gamers and may the shadows hide your path.

Oh great HTML masters of OP. I've designed a custom navbar, based on the one that Arsheesh created. It's still in it's first phase, I might just hop in and slim it down a bit but the problem that I have is that since I added the NavBar in, all of my material in the page seems to have been shunted down. so that I have about a 10-15px white gap.

Any idea why this is happening? I don't have any additional padding built into the home page.

Feel free to take a look and give me your thoughts:

Hey guys! I am back on OP! Its been a while as I have been working and haven't had time for GMing. That's all gonna change soon as I go back to school in the fall!

Now my question, I have noticed that some of you have a large "meta" wiki for you campaign settings. How would you suggest I go about doing that? I will be having 3 GM's, over 20 players split into 4 groups and all this in one world. How do I begin the process of making a super wiki for the setting? Its pretty daunting.

Any ideas?

Hi, gang!

Just wanted to let you know that "Cthulhu Supremus Est":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/cthulhusupremusest is going dark, effective immediately. I have every intention of returning to Lovecraft's world of eldricth horrors and cyclopean landscapes, but have a new challenge ahead of me.

Beginning in September, I'll be GM for our new campaign, "Elmhurst Geeks and the Kingmaker Chronicles":http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/elmhurst-geeks-and-the-kingmaker-chronicles. This is my first time as a fantasy RPG GM, so I want to give it my full attention.

Hopefully, fans of the Cthulhu site will make their way over to the Kingmaker site. That will be my base of operations for the foreseeable future.

All the best!
