This happened to us often when using the forums for online roleplaying between sessions. Took us a while to realize why this happens.

Seems to be that the character linking [[: | ]] is translated to something with quotation marks in the code, and then the site mistakes the first quotation marks as part of the site's code instead of part of the text.

Any suggestions? It's almost as if the search?tag= query is being blocked somehow, but I can't figure out how.

I have tried multiple computers, my partner has tried on his pc, multiple browsers, developer editions etc, disabled all blockers... performed the usual reboots and checks. But after talking to various more knowledgeable folks they are advising me it may be a back-end problem that obsidian portal themselves need to look into.

Can someone please advise? And can any one else reading this please check your tags and the search function on your page too, to check if it is working?

Just the latest map I have worked on. I didn't bother keeping the map markers on the other campaign. You can see the marker centered on the map. There are actually TWO markers there stacked atop each other. Help.

The direction of languages should be determined by the language, so that RTL languages like Arabic, Hebrew and Farsi are supported correctly.

It is better to do this globally rather than with custom CSS, because custom CSS could apply when the language is not RTL (for instance, when some paragraphs are in one langauge and others are in another).

I'm brushing off an old campaign for a new group (or two), and I'm having a hard time getting stuff to load.

Been using obsidian portal since 2019. My campaign link is https://costa-da-espada.obsidianportal.com/

However, every time one of my players tries to open our campaign page, it doesn't show up, as if it didn't exist. Instead, my players are being directed to the login page: https://www.obsidianportal.com/login  I've had the same problem trying to open it from different browsers.

If I login, the campaign page shows up as usual. However, it doesn't open the page if I (or anyone else) is not logged in, which is weird, because my campaign setting is public (I'm not as ascendant user, so I couldn't change privacy settings even if I wanted to).

What's going on? Can anybody help me?

Edit: I just noticed I cannot see any campaign page on Obsidian Portal unless i'm logged in.

Now, fine, I can just copy the code from an existing iFrame off of someone/place else on this same website and replace the src with my PDF, easy. I hit Source, I paste everything in, looks great in print preview. I post. Nothing shows at all, blank post. I try again, but this time I go back into Source to double check. Nothing, it has erased everything I put into it, or more likely never bothered to save it, as I have had a lot of things just 'disappear' after I view them in Source. I have tried this with Firefox, IE, and Chrome, even on different computers. Always the same results.

I can't use the buttons from the top menu "Quick Links, Campaigns, +New etc." from my Mac using Safari. With my work computer, using Windows and Chrome, everything works. 

Not sure what's causing it.

Sometimes, when I load a page with embedded PDFs, they iframe does not load.

Not sure if it will work for you or not since it seems to happen at random.

Additionally, if there is an image in the accordion item, it appears outside the item when it's opened (see for example this page: Strongholds | Baldur's Gate | Obsidian Portal).

You can navigate that persons OPs that they own/ are a part of.

since today, every time I try to upload a character image in a character entry it just doesn't show:

I have never had this issue before; I tried with different pages but I get the same result.

It started today, just a few hours after I upgraded my membership, I don't know if it can be related somehow.

For several hours, I think I have a problem or a bug. Indeed, every time I post an image on a page, the image doesn't appear or rather it appears as a link to create a wiki page with the name of the file number (I don't know if I am very clear).

I'm the weekend support here for Obsidian, it's a pleasure to meet you all! I apologize for the delay in response to this bug, I have been having strenuous tech issues all day and have been trying to compile the information on this bug problem while fixing my computer. 

Rest assured, our team has been made aware and we will be working diligently to resolve it! I really, really appreciate your patience while we take care of this.

Secondly, I don't know when this happened, but after following the steps to allow custom JS when initially setting it up, a few months later the notification is back again, even though I don't think I've changed the JS at all in that time. It now appears every time I open my campaign and I have no idea why. It's a distracting eyesore that I would like to banish forever.

I was trying to look through some of my older comments via the Comments section on my profile screen (looking for a specific bit of CSS) when I noticed that the More Comments link at the bottom of the page doesn't appear to do much of anything. Well, it doesn't appear to work unless you open the link in a new tab, in which case it works fine, which is admittedly a bit weird.

What's fun about this though is that if you click on the hyperlink the address that it points to increments, putting a ?page=p2 (or p3, p4, etc for each time you click) but the page that you are on never refreshes. If you type that info in to the address bar the targetted page does load.

For example this bit of code is 'technically wrong' but works fine all the same:

Gives get the error:

Custom css Invalid or disallowed characters in the CSS.

We do not allow Javascript or other advanced CSS, just the basics.

Which wouldn't be a problem except that that replacing the CSS code with the some symbols like the below will trigger a Error 500 on trying to save :

Would it be possible to consider allowing the CSS Entities list to be allowed for the ASCII character set to make it easier to do proper html/css - or if not is there a list of which ones are 'allowed' and which are 'banned?'.
