Topic: General Discussion / Tips for DM's - DND CrazyDE, you’ve done a decent job of describing my running style. I pretty much try to set my players up with a goal, and perhaps a suggestion of how to start out, but from there its all them and me reacting to it. They don’t feel like they’re “on the tracks” of the plot train, but they still reach the same station nearly every time. |

Topic: General Discussion / "Evil campaigns" Absolutely true. Even Evil has friends. I am very lucky to have such a great group of gamers in real life, and we played a long-lived evil D&D campaign (I actually got to play in it!). Our group remained united without any force above us, such as a higher organization or common religion. We were united because most of the characters were genuinely friends. The LE Duergar, CE Drow, LE Aasimar, and CE Half-Orc were united by a mutual respect for one another’s talents and a recognition that it would always be easier for them to achieve together than separately. They would discuss their goals as a group to determine their next course of action, and if ever an impasse was reached, the Aasimar acted as leader and made the final decision. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Navigation What does it do? Enables the user to quickly navigate from one campaign he’s participating in to another. What does it look like? A new box on the sidebar, perhaps below the “Recent Activity” box, containing links to all the campaigns the user participates in. Why? I don’t know about the rest of you, but now that I have two campaigns up and am a player in a third, I do quite a bit of switching back and forth. I’d like to be able to do so without keeping a tab open on the “campaigns” or “profile” page. |

Topic: Bug Reports / FIXED - User Ratings - Miscalculation? The Rating System seems to have bugged again – this time on A Deadly Affair. No big deal, as it doesn’t affect usability at all. |

Topic: General Discussion / Weresharks I find it is rarely an issue to simply borrow generic-sounding names from real-world places. Cities like Capetown and Newport are good examples. Also, if one culture colonised several areas, you can simply name a few of the cities the same thing, only with a “New” plastered on front or a ”-ton” slapped on the end. |

Topic: General Discussion / Superhero It’s gonna sound cheesy, but my all time favorite is Superman. I like the conundrums faced by a character whose only real problems are issues of ethics. Superman is possessed of such tremendous power that few other beings can challenge him in any meaningful way, so the best writing in his comics always occurs when he’s confronted by a moral quandary rather than an issue he can simply punch in the face. |

Topic: Feature Requests / New Feature - Wiki link quick lookup Thank you. You are, as always, my hero. One less tab while posting updates. Now, can you make these handy link look-ups available while editing characters? |

Topic: Feature Requests / New Feature - PC/NPC quick lookup Thanks. This will be a big load off. At least one less tab open, anyway. |

Topic: Feature Requests / A "Shared" field for GM and one player My campaign in particular could make great use of this feature. I understand that it wouldn’t necessarily get a lot of play from everyone, but it would be nice nevertheless. |

Topic: General Discussion / Martin Ralya of Treasure Tables returns to the blogosphere Two of my players consistently play characters whose gender is the opposite of their own – I never even considered it odd. I wonder what that says about my group? |

Topic: General Discussion / "Featured ___________" Being generally too busy to put in the time it would take to make a group portrait (I am an artist, though you wouldn’t know it by how I make a living), that sounds like an attractive prize. (Additionally, two of the players have changed characters, thus forcing me to choose the era if I want to make a portrait) |

Topic: General Discussion / "Featured ___________" No problem. My group and I love the attention, but I’m sure another group would also. I like the idea of a prize, but for me the front page position has been reward enough. |

Topic: General Discussion / "Featured ___________" I realize that you guys have a lot on your plates getting the site running well and constantly throwing in little improvements, so I understand that changing the featured campaign isn’t a priority. All the same, I think there are some other fantastic campaigns on here that deserve the attention that A Deadly Affair has been getting. Still, I must say it is nice to have my stuff right out there when someone stops by the site for the first time ;) |

Topic: Bug Reports / FIXED - Tags loose their " when NPC is edited Most of my multi-word tags seem to have lost their cohesion at some point (even on characters I haven’t edited in some time), possibly related to an update. I’ve fixed it, but that’s time-consuming. |

Topic: Help and Tips / First, second or third person? Most of the updates in my game are made by the players, who pick for themselves (mostly third), and I just go with whatever they’re doing. |
