I got started in RPGs when my brother and I received the basic box set of D&D while in junior high school. From there I played in many a game of Rifts, where I first journeyed into countless forays to vampire-infested Mexico and demon-ruled Hades. At the same time I was also involved with a large group of Cyberpunk players and got a taste of rolling many a 10-sided die. After getting a decent fix of power-gaming in the Megaverse I began playing and later storytelling Vampire: The Masquerade as well as White Wolf’s other offerings such as Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Mage: The Ascension, and Wraith: The Oblivion in both tabletop and LARP forms. Like many people at the time I got caught up in the whole 3E D&D thing for a couple of weeks, buying many sourcebooks before becoming completely and utterly bored with the system and the types of scenarios presented by several gaming groups in that system. I instead found my lust for hacking sated by the appropriately titled HackMaster, there was much (s)laughter to be had. I was also playing my brother’s excellent Call of Cthulhu game. I have run a good number of RPGs, including D&D 3E, HackMaster, Rifts, Vampire, Dark Ages: Vampire, Werewolf, Cyberpunk, Serenity, Fading Suns, and am currently running Conan: the Role-playing Game, and playing in a Hero System Champions game and a 4e D&D game.
