Topic: Bug Reports / FIXED - 404 on first login I am running into the same problem. I signed up for the site way back when it was first created, but haven’t been GMing in quite a while, so I haven’t been using the site. If you could just remove the . from the username, that would work great for me. |

Topic: Help and Tips / Do you use maps in your campaign? I use maps, mostly for cities and such. A lot of the time they are real city maps, or maps I’ve lifted from the Star Wars source books and then modified slightly, or used straight up. That’s the only thing I would be concerned about. If I use a map out of a sourcebook, would I be able to post it here legally, or is that not covered by fair use? |

Topic: Help and Tips / Formatting Help Hehe Well I’m slowly learning how this textile thing works. I’m much more comfortable with html or bbcode, but learning that a lot of textile is just manipulating CSS makes things a bit easier. Now I just need to refresh my memory of exactly how CSS works :P |

Topic: Help and Tips / Formatting Help Thanks. Actually what I did was
p{margin-bottom:0px;}. *Dexterity: 3D+1*
* _Blaster_ 4D+1
* _Brawling Parry_ 4D
* _Melee Combat_ 5D
Because if I just set the top, then the list is automatically spaced further down because it things the heading is its own paragraph. By removing the spacing below, I can force it closer. Thanks for the tips. |

Topic: Help and Tips / Formatting Help Ok, I’m trying to work up a character description block that looks nice. I’ve got some things figured out, but I’m still having some difficulties. Here is an example for what I have currently: And here is the code I used: *Dexterity: 3D+1* * _Blaster_ 4D+1 * _Brawling Parry_ 4D * _Melee Combat_ 5D *Knowledge 1D* * _Intimidation_ 3D * _Law Enforcement_ 3D * _Streetwise_ 3D *Mechanical 2D* * _Beast Riding_ 3D * _Ground Vehicle Operation_ 2D+1 * _Repulsorlift Operation_ 3D *Perception 2D* * _Bargain_ 2D+2 * _Search_ 3D+1 *Strength 2D+2* * _Brawling_ 3D+1 * _Climbing/Jumping_ 3D * _Stamina_ 3D *Technical 2D* * _Security_ 3D *Weapons* * Blaster Pistol (4D) * Stun Baton (STR+2D+2) I would like to put spaces between the bolded lines and the portion above, so there’s better separation, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it. No matter what I do, I end up with one big chunk. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Topic: Help and Tips / Textile Formatting Tutorial Can anyone give me a good rundown of how to do things in textile? I’ve read the various textile guides and such, but I’m having a hard time getting certain things to look right, like putting line breaks between things like bulleted lists. Also, formatting tables so there’s more space between the columns. Just some of the stuff that is beyond just the basics. It seems like I saw something like this before, but I can’t seem to find it. I would love to see exactly how some of those awesome looking character sheets were done. Also, Micah, the Textile help you have on the right hand side has the wrong formatting for tables. You need a pipe (|) at the beginning and end of each row, not just between the row elements.
not
Also, I figured out that you can do code blocks by putting an @ at the beginning and end of a line. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Printable View Since I do not have a laptop (yet :D) I tend to print out my notes and such from the site prior to the game. At the moment, though, the site does not format the test well for printing. The menus on the side look weird and it just doesn’t look as nice, so I tend to copy and paster everything into a word document and print it from there. It would be really nice if there were a “Printer Friendly” link that would display the text without all the extra page formatting. Leave the site name/logo at the top, but then just display the actual text and formatting of the post itself. Thanks |

Topic: Feature Requests / ADDED - GM PC Editing
I can’t disagree with that. One thought I had would be for someone who has an idea about your character to makes changes to the character and then submit that to the creator for approval. Of course this could be accomplished outside of this site, and would probably make a lot more sense to do it that way anyways. Keep up the great work. |

Topic: Feature Requests / ADDED - GM PC Editing Two things relatively low priority, but would be handy: 1. Some history on what users are editing the Wikis and adventure logs. This would only be visible to the GM of the campaign, and would allow you to see who has added things if you want to reward that. It would also let you see who’s abusing the system if that becomes a problem. 2. I know this was brought up in some way previously, but it would be nice if the GM was able to edit characters that are part of his campaign. It would be nice to be able to fix details, add wiki links, and add xp directly to the character page. Something that could also be added to this would some kind of approval note that would be sent to the character’s creator and they would have to approve the changes made. I understand that this would be a long term update, but it would be handy. Again, great work on the site, and it’s definitely been helpful so far. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Wiki Table of Contents Sounds good. Mostly I was just curious if something existed already. I’m really liking the site as a whole, and am really impressed with the layout. It’s very clean and extremely user friendly. I’ve never used Textile before, so that’s a whole learning curve there (I’m more accustomed to BBcode and html), but it seems to be a nice system, and certainly easy to use. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Wiki Table of Contents I don’t know if this is a feature request or just a question of how to best do something, but I am curious about some sort of linkable Table of Contents for longer Wiki pages. I’ve seen some sites (like pbwiki.com) that have applets/scripts that automatically create a ToC for a page based on heading settings. Is something like that even possible here? Otherwise, is it possible to link to locations inside a page? Even something like a “Top” navigation to return to the top of the page would be handy for some of the longer Wiki pages. Any suggestions on how to do this with the current formatting would be handy. I’ve messed around with it a little, but I’m certainly no expert. |

Topic: Feature Requests / ADDED - Persistent Login I would like a way to stay logged in even after a few days. It’s not a big deal having to login every time, but many sites have a “remember me” ability so you don’t need to login every time, and with two separate logins it would be very handy for those of us who are the sole users of our PCs. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Reverse Post Order Option I was just reading through a few of the campaigns on the site and I thought of this. As a reader, it would be nice if I could start at the first post in the campaign and work my way towards the end. Right now, in order to do this I have to start at the very bottom of the campaign and work upwards. I can understand wanting the most recent post at the top if you’re a player and know what’s going on already, so an option to reverse the order that posts are displayed would be preferable to just flipping them altogether. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Character Sheet The textile formatting is a great idea. Maybe something that could be done is just a generic form that has formatting for attributes, skills, and stuff like that but doesn’t actually force names on the various things. Just something of a formatting guideline that can be used with various games and provides for a consistent look for the various character sheet types. |

Topic: Introduce Yourself / Hi from North Dakota Hello, I’m Andy. I’m a new GM and I’m starting up a campaign for a few friends using the WEG Star Wars system. I’m really liking the site and I hope I can put it to use for me. I found the site through Treasure Tables, which has also provided me with a wealth of GM-ing help. |
