In the FAQ linked above, it says
Question: My adventure logs are really long, and the main Adventure Log tab page is huge! How do I break up my logs, so just a short version is seen on the tab, and people can click to read more?
Answer: The Adventure Log pages have built in support for this feature. Add the following code where you want the brief version to leave off, and the link to read the rest to appear. Note that you must replace the parenthesis below with left and right brackets (<>) to make this work. Unfortunately, the correct code in copy-and-paste form won
Except that this board doesn’t work the same way that the wiki pages do and I can’t figure out how to make — show up as two hyphens. Hmph. It works in wiki pages though.
All your campaigns will remain but you will be unable to create any more & only able to modify your newest two campaigns. Your other campaigns will eventually get deleted after sitting for quite awhile. But you always have the option of downloading your work/campaign from the edit this campaign setting/page. That way when you re-ascend you can just upload your work.
Just updated this to include some links to helpful resource sites.
Cheers,

Good additions. Should have thought of that myself. :)
Arsheesh, shouldn’t your site be on there too?

Well although Age of Legends does have some pages with HTML templates & free navigation button graphics, unlike the other sites listed it isn’t a site devoted to being a resource to the OP community. It’s just my own campaign/campaign setting site.

His site is on there actually. Second link in the templates section. I added it a month or so back I think.
Ha, I missed that. OK, well I guess it does makes sense to put a link in the templates section. Thanks Chainsaw.

Hey guys, I just finished the first build on my World Creator project. This creates different planetary information for however many planets you want (it doesn’t make more than 1000. Also, please don’t make 1000 unless you really want 1000, lol). It doesn’t give a whole lot of information just yet, but I will be updating it to include more and do more things. Suggestions are always welcome. The information generated is based off of rules from the GURPS Space book. I don’t know how accurate it is, but there’s a lot of math involved so I’d like to think it’s decently accurate. The page itself isn’t anything special to look at, but it’s still there if anyone wants to use it. You’ll have to be able to unzip files to get at them.
Anyway I’ve rambled on long enough here’s the link.
That is really cool!! While I am running a fantasy campaign, this is a really valuable resource for those that are running a sci-fi game!

Duskreign’s COTM for November 2011
I checked it out and love it. Will make use of it often in my Star Trek Campaign.

I suspect the item you’re looking for is: How can I put a background image behind the content of my wiki page?
Just an FYI, I wanted to add some more links to Chainsaw’s FAQ page and found that we’ve now reached the max character limit for the original page. Hence, I’ve co-opted the next comment down as a spillover page to add additional links to.
Cheers,
-Arsheesh
Thanks Arsheesh! I still think that this is the most valuable page on the forums!

Duskreign’s First Ever COTM
That works. Thanks Arsheesh! It’s been maxed out for months now, and I’d run out of things to make shorter. The only down side is that I can’t upkeep the second post myself, but hey, that’s what you guys are here for. If you’re of a mind to, why don’t you grab the whole Templates section and consolidate it into the second post. That will leave room for additions to the other sections in the first post.
Now if I can just find that list of things I’ve been wanting to add…
You got it Chainsaw. Done and done.
Cheers,

Calion – my campaign logs are not huge but one of the choices I made to make things easiers to read – is I make a wiki page for each log with the name of the session then extended.
Example: session 26 is titled Reflections of a Dwarf
so I make a wiki page and name it session 26 extended: reflections of a Dwarf. The extended log contains the entire log. Then on the main log page all I have is the Session Banner that when you click on it opens a link to the extended session and a 1 to 2 sentence summary which has a link called read more that also links to the adventure log.

Invictus, I dropped the sidebar myself because I discovered that is moved from browser to browser and never worked right with my iphone. I think the final look worked out but I really miss the sidebar.

Star Trek Late Night
January 2112 CotM
Duskreign’s CotM December 2011
I was having the same problem on my iPad, could not view the sidebar. Also, my custom background was showing up as the topmost layer on the page, so all my info was being covered with the image, and unaccessible. I finally removed the image, choosing the OP basic black background. The sidebar is now for convenience only, and all links can be found elsewhere, either on the home page, or on the main wiki page (or sub-wiki menus). Sure, it is a little more effort to find a couple of items, but nothing is inaccessible now.

I put up the code for my nav bar, side buttons, and comments page code. They can be found here

This isn’t in the Textile reference, so I think it should be added here: Use --- (three dashes) to make a horizontal rule.
Not sure where to post this. I have an EXP trackbar that some folks have asked me about. Here is a link to the code, on my Kudos (acknowledgments) page.
@Calion, thanks. Since the tips on Textile formatting are all located on Chainsaw’s site, I’ll leave it to him to implement this.
@PhoenixMark, snagged to the FAQ page.

Boom, random encounter. A wild language converter appears!
Enjoy!
Jayph, that is an awesome idea! Will be using it!! Not on OP, but during games- very cool.

Unfortunately I don’t know of an easy way to do that. You’d pretty much have to hand create links to everything. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to change the default links. What you CAN do easily is put a link to the page that comes up when you click “show all” on your main wiki page.
Just click “show all” and copy the URL to the page that comes up. You could even put that link on your main page if you want to cut down even further on how many clicks it takes to get there.
That’s my best suggestion, I’m afraid.
Send a bug report to the guys on OP, Corradus- I have never had an interest in using it, so I did not know it was broken.
